Picture was taken by my son (proud mom) 🙂

I and my son were having fun time with cooking and learning photography. We cooked beef lumpia, it’s spring rolls in Indonesia. It’s perfect snack for Sunday evening.

My son has passion about photography. He was learning to set camera manually, focusing, and lighting. He learned how picture look like when light came form side, front, back and upper head. And the picture was his masterpiece. 🙂

About lumpia, here is how we do it.

Ingredients

  • 10 pieces spring roll wrappers
  • 1/2 cup carrots slice small piece
  • 1 cup minced beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, slice small piece
  • 1 onion, slice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt and pepper
  • vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, add onion, stir fry until soft
  • Add garlic, beef and carrot
  • Add water, cook until beef done and water evaporated
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Let it cool
  • Take 1 tablespoon of cooked beef but on spring roll wrapper
  • Make pocket
  • Fry in hot oil until golden
  • Done 🙂
