Bihun udang

Today is first holiday of  our long weekend and sadly I don’t have plan for my 4 days off. So I try to survive during this holiday to do anything and not being bored. 😀 I cooked bihun udang, bihun is rice noodle and udang mean shrimp. Chinese cooking gave many influence to Indonesian cooking, such as noodle. We love noodle so much.

  • 1 pack rice noodle, add hot water
  • 1/4 kg shrimp
  • 1 carrot, slice thinly
  • 3 shallots cloves, slice
  • 3 garlic cloves, mince
  • 2 spring onion, cut small
  • 1 teaspoon chili flake
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 fish sauce
  • 1/ tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • salt
  • vegetable oil
  • sprinkle of water

  • Pinch salt into shrimp sit about 15 minutes
  • Heat vegetable oil, add shallot, stir about 1 minutes
  • Add garlic, stir another 1/2 minutes
  • Add carrot, add sprinkle of water and cover the skillet about 1 minutes
  • Add shrimp, stir until shrimp red and cooked
  • Add chilli flake, fish sauce, soy sauce and sweet soy sauce, and salt
  • Add rice noodle
  • Stir until well combine
  • Done 🙂
